Sun Street Studios – Ticket Terms & Venue Guide
1. Purpose & Spirit
Sun Street Studios is a creative venue located in a historic building in Mainland’s creative precinct. Our aim is to make live events accessible, fair and enjoyable for everyone. These guidelines balance flexibility for patrons with clarity for artists and organisers.
2. Ticket Sales
Tickets sold via Sun Street Studio’s Humanitix account are sold on behalf of the presenting artists or organisations. Sun Street Studios acts as ticketing agent and host venue. Occasionally we run shows that are sold by other promoters, such as Concerts Australia, and these promoters will have their own terms.
3. Exchanges, Credits & Refunds
We understand that plans change. If you cannot attend, contact us and we will offer an exchange, credit or name transfer whenever possible.
- If an event is cancelled or rescheduled, you are entitled to a full refund or exchange under Australian Consumer Law and the LPA Code of Practice for Event Ticketing.
- If an artist withdraws or a show is altered, we will act in good faith and offer fair options, usually a credit or refund if the change is substantial.
- No-shows without notice will usually forfeit the ticket, however we handle each case on its own basis.
4. Arrival & Entry
Venue: The Hall | Capacity 130 seated
Our entry foyer and bar are located at the rear of the building, via the carpark on the right-hand side down Sun Street. Doors usually open at least 30 minutes before showtime, and the bar opens at the same time. Individual shows can have different doors opening time, please check on the event page.
Tickets: There is no need to print your ticket. You can show it on your phone or simply give your name on arrival – we will have you on the list.
Seating: Seating is unreserved and on a first-come, first-served basis, unless otherwise noted, or pre-arranged with us.
Please arrive a little early, order a drink, and settle in – it keeps the night relaxed for artists and audience alike.
Performances start promptly. Latecomers are welcome to wait in the bar area (with view of the show) and will be seated at a suitable break in the performance, so the flow of the show is not disturbed.
5. Audience Guidance, Venue Conduct & Courtesy
Age limits: Some shows carry age or content guidance, such as minimum entry age or recommended audience. These details are noted on individual event pages. If unsure, please ask before booking – we’re happy to advise.
Photography & Filming: Casual photos welcome – please frame us on our best side 😉.
Kindly refrain from extended filming.
Venue occasionally records snippets for promotion; let us know if you’d prefer not to be filmed.
Please respect artists, crew and fellow audience members. We may ask disruptive patrons to leave without refund if behaviour seriously affects others’ safety or enjoyment.
6. Accessibility
We aim to make all events accessible. Let us know via the booking form, email or call early about any mobility, hearing or sensory needs so we can assist.
7. Risk & Safety
Patrons enter Sun Street Studios at their own risk. While the venue takes all reasonable precautions and complies with relevant safety regulations, it accepts no responsibility for loss, damage or injury unless directly caused by its negligence or required by law.
All reasonable safety measures are in place, and staff are available to assist with seating, mobility or accessibility needs.
8. Cancellations or Alterations
If an event must be cancelled or changed, we will notify ticket-holders promptly by email and social channels. Refunds or credits will be offered in line with the LPA Code and Australian Consumer Law. We will refund, or where possible, help rebook you for a similar performance or date.
9. Right of Admission
We reserve the right to refuse entry or service where required for safety or compliance, including intoxication or breach of RSA.
